PPT VISION has introduced the IMPACT T26
and IMPACT T27, the newest additions to the company's
T-series intelligent camera family for high-speed automated
inspection. Megapixel smart cameras can
be a costly solution for high resolution applications.
But the IMPACT T26 uses an economical, high speed CMOS
sensor with 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution. IMPACT T26 is
the most affordable megapixel smart camera on the market.
IMPACT T27 is the only affordable 1600 x 1200 smart camera
system available today. Most smart camera suppliers haven't
even attempted the monumental task of introducing such
a high resolution smart camera, but IMPACT T27 handles
the task easily. This ultra-high resolution CCD imager
can handle high accuracy and high resolution applications
at speeds far beyond today's full-scale vision systems.

Both of these new products are fully supported by PPT
VISION's Inspection Builder software. Inspection Builder
contains all the features of a full-scale vision system,
deployed in an economical smart camera format.
PPT's fully
digital systems capture pristine images that can be
transmitted, noise-free, faster and over great distances,
eliminating many of the limitations of conventional
analog systems. Digital serial communications, combined
with accelerated image capture and data processing hardware,
provide systems with increased performance and flexibility
that are easier and more cost-effective to implement,
maintain and expand than conventional analog systems.
