High Performance
- Factory Ready
The patented PPT cameras are high-speed, high-resolution,
digital cameras designed and manufactured by PPT VISION
specifically for machine vision applications. As an
integral part of PPT VISION's patented IMPACT machine
vision micro-systems, these cameras deliver unparalleled
accuracy, speed, and robust operation for a wide range
of demanding gauging and inspection applications. |

The
IMPACT CL machine vision Micro-System has been designed
to also work with a variety of manufacturer's Camera
Link cameras.

Accurate
The PPT family of cameras features noise-free and jitter-free
image acquisition with a full 8 bits of resolution and
a complete scale of 256 gray levels. This results in
greater accuracy and sensitivity in edge-finding, pattern
matching and other inspection algorithms. The completely
digital transfer of repeatable images to the vision
device preserves this accuracy.
Fast
PPT designed these cameras to be fast. They capture
pristine images at lighting-fast speeds and transfer
them to the vision device at 330Mbps. These high-precision
instruments are progressive scan cameras that can be
partial-scanned for even greater inspection throughput.
Each one is capable of asynchronous image capture in
either strobed or shuttered mode. In addition, the PPT8200
can be fully windowed.
Robust
All of the IMPACT cameras are configured and controlled
entirely through Inspection Builder software. All communication
signals and power are transmitted serially via a single
cable. This includes images, set-up parameters, and
triggers. They are tamper-free, with no dip-switches,
toggles, buttons, or separate power supplies. In addition,
their small size, light weight, and sturdy mounting
bracket provide maximum installation flexibility and
ease-of-use.
